Rules and ways of carrying out of competitions

RULES OF COMPETITIONS UNDER JEET-KUNE-DO SYSTEM


1. The order of competitions conducting.

1.1 Competitions under "Jeet-Kune-Do" system are conducted according to rules made and accepted by the "Jeet-Kune-Do" International Federation.

1.2 Regulations on republican, regional and international competitions, staff of judges' boards is examined and settled by the Federation Council.

2. Character and methods of competition conducting.

2.1 Competition under a character of conducting is divided on:

Private;

Command.

Character and method of competitions' conducting is determined by the status of these competitions. Private competitions determine places took by participants in each weight category. Command competition determines places of commands.

3. Methods of competition conducting.

3.1 Competition may be conducted under the Olympic system and also command system

4. Competition conducting under the Olympic system

4.1 A participant finishes his/her performance after the 1 st defeat during competition conducting under the Olympic system.

4.2 Private and private-command competitions are organized- under the Olympic system in presence of more than 10 commands of participants and more than 10 participants of each weight category. An order's number of each participant is determined by lot. Wrestlers, who come to the semi-final round, participate in a fight for getting of prize places. The 3 rd place and possibility to participate in final round are played out the semi-final round.

5. Competition conducting under command system

5.1 Under a command system of competition each participant of this weight category (command) meet with each another participant of the same weight category (command). A victory is adjudged on a quantity of total fights (if there are 5 fights between commands, so that command conquers, which wins 3 fights).

Division of participants under age criteria.


1. Competition's participants are divided on following age groups:

Young youthful group - 14-15 years old

Senior youthful group - 16-17 years old

Younior's group - 18-20 years old

Adult's group - 21 years old and older.

Age of a wrestler is determined on his/her year of born

2. Youth people of young group are not admitted to competitions with youth people of senior group, and youth people of senior group are not admitted to competitions of youniors.

3. Some the strongest youniors may be admitted to competitions with adults if a wrestler presents his own application, consent of trainer and certificate- conclusion of doctoral-physical cultural dispensary.

4. Wrestlers are divided on sport categories (Dans) in dependence of the level of sport preparation.

5. During competitions a wrestler has a right to fight with wrestler of his or neighbor level.

6. At fights of wrestlers of different levels terms of competitions (quantity and duration of rounds) should correspond to terms settled for wrestlers of higher level.

1. Competitions for youth people of young group are conducted in 21 weight categories (from 36 up to 76 kg):

The 1 st most light category - 36-37 kg

The 2 nd one - 38-40 kg The 3 rd one-40-42 kg

The 1 st lighter category - 42-44 kg

The 2 nd one - 44-46 kg The 3 rd one - 46-48 kg

The 1 st semi-light category - 48-50 kg

The 2 nd one - 50-52 kg

The 3 rd one - 52-54 kg

The 1 st light category - 54-56 kg

The 2 nd one - 5 6-5 8 "kg

The 1 st semi-middle category - 60-62 kg

2. Competitions for youth people of older age are conducted according the following 12 weight categories:

The 1 st most light category - 46-48 kg

Most light category - 48-50 kg

Lighter category - 50-52 kg

Semi-light category - 52-54 kg

Light category - 54-57 kg

The 1 st semi-middle category - 57-60 kg

The 2 nd one - 60-63 kg

The 1 st middle category-63-66 kg ;

The 2 nd one - 66-70 kg

Semi-heavy category - 70-74 kg

The 1 st heavy category - 74-80 kg

The 2 nd one - more than 80 kg

3. Competitions for youth people and adults are conducted in 11 weight categories:

The 1 st most light category - 46-48 kg

Most light category - 48-51 kg

Lighter category - 51-54 kg

Semi-light category - 54-57 kg

Light category - 57-60 kg

The 1 st semi-middle category - 60-63 kg

The 2 nd one-63,5-67 kg

The 1 st middle category - 67-71 kg

The 2 nd one-71-75 kg

Semi-heavy category - 75-81 kg

Heavy category - more than 81 kg

Doctor and trainer determine a weight category, in which a wrestler may participate. For this purpose they make a note in a doctoral-physical cultural book, application form and classification ticket. A wrestler, who lost a weight and passed to lighter weight category, is not admitted to competitions.

Fight is spent two rounds for 2 minutes. In case of a drawn game fight up to 1 impact proceeds. Final and semifinal fights are spent 3 rounds for 2 minutes.


Participants of competitions


1. The admission of participants to competitions.

1.1. persons declared by trainers and last-medical survey no more than for three days prior to the beginning of competitions are supposed to participation in competitions

1.2. The admission to competitions in corresponding application under the established form is carried out by credentials committee. It is approved by the organization, which carries out a competition, credentials committee consists of, as a rule, main judge, its assistants, secretary, doctor, who check documents and applications of participants.

2. Weighing of participants.

2.1. Weighing of participants is spent no the first day of competitions and begins not less, than for three hours prior to the beginning of competitions. Weighing lasts one hour. During weighing a participant is obliged to show his passport or other document, replacing it. Results of weighing are entered into the record (protocol)

2.2. Weighing is spent by commission appointed by the main judge. Into it enter: it includes deputy of the main judge secretary, two judges and doctors the quantity of judges should not be accordingly increased., At carrying out of weighing on two weights.

2.3. In personal and personally-command competitions a participant should act only in that weight category, established in the at initial weighing the right of control calculations to weights which will be used at official weighing is given to participants before weighing'

2.4. In personally-command and command competitions a participant who was weighed, but did not participate in fights, is considered as not exposed.

2.5. Serial number of each wrestler (command) is defined on a lot after the termination of weighing or on weights. Distribution of the strongest ones is made, if it is stipulated by Position.

3. Structure and representatives of commands.

3.1. The quantitative structure of commands is defined by the Regulations on competitions.

3.2. Each command, participating in competitions, should have it's own representative, who is the head of command and intermediary between a judiciary board and participants. If a command has no special representative so his duties are carried out by the trainer or captain appointed from the number of the commands participants.

3.3. A representative bears the responsibility for discipline of participants both command'' - at competitions, and in other public places.

3.4. Representatives participate in a toss-up, present at meetings of the judiciary board, if they are spent together with representatives.

3.3. It is forbidden to a representative, trainer, and captain of command to interfere the work of judges and persons spending competitions.

3.4. For default of duties a representative can be discharged of management bya command, it is informed about this fact to the organization which has directed him to the competition,

3.5. A representative, trainer cannot be used as judges at the given competitions.

3.6. During a fight trainers and representatives are- forbidden instructs competing wrestlers. For infringements of the given item of rules a representative (captain), trainer, may receive fighter prevention, and at repeated infringement they can be removed off competitions.

4. Duties and rights of participants.

4.1. A participant is obliged:

4.1.1. To know and strictly observe the present rules, the Regulations on competitions and their program.

4.1.2. To be polite, correct under the attitude to all participants, judges and the persons carrying out and serving competitions, and also to spectators.

4.1.3. To carry out all requirements of judges and representative (captain) of the command.

4.1.4. To be with accurate cut nails, in a tidy sporty suit. Participants are forbidden to Conduct a fight in protective devices, improvident rules of competitions which may become a reason of trauma or damage.

4.1.3. If a participant cannot continue competition for any reasons he should inform about this a judiciary board through the representative not later than in 10 minutes prior to the beginning of fight.

4.1.4. To appear immediately on a fight under a call. At a delay after a call till 1 minute this sportsman receives a remark, at a delay from 1 to 3 minutes - a prevention is announced participant does come to platform after a call more than 3 minutes, he will get a defeat, in this fight and by his contender will get a pure victory

4.1.7. To exchange greetings with referee and the contender before the beginning of fight and also after its termination.

4.1.8. Not to leave a platform without the permission of referee.

4.2. A participant has the right:

4.2.1. To address in to the judiciary board through a representative or the command captain

4.2.2. In personal competitions at absence of representative to address directly to the judiciary

4.2.3. For 1 hour prior to the beginning of weighing to makeacontrol of his own weight on scales of official weighing.

4.2.4. To make a prearranged signal by raising a hand at reception of trauma and refusal to carryout a fight, and also if it is necessary to put in order his protective means.

5. A suit and protective means of participants.

5.1. A suit and protective means of participants.

5.2. Protective means of participants include:

Youthful: gloves boxing, bandage, overlays for legs.

Adults: shingals, bandage, overlays for legs.

Judiciary board


1. Structure of judiciary board.

1.1. Judiciary board is appointed and affirms by organization spending competitions.

1.2. Judiciary board consists of the main judge of competition, secretary, referee, judges, judge -time- measuring judge-informant, the technical secretary, judges of participants, doctor and commandant of competitions.

1.3. A fight is judged with a brigade in structure of: referee on a carpet or on a ring and three judges. A referee supervises over a course of fight according to the present rules lateral judges are at little tables in comers of a platform and make a judicial, note. The decision on result of fight is accepted on the basis of judicial note of lateral judges

1.4. Fixing of time on competitions is spent by the judge - time-measuring.

2. Main judge.

2.1. Main judge bears the responsibility for carrying out of competitions before the organization spending them.

2.2.Main judge is obliged:

2.2.1. To check up suitability of equipment, stock, protective means of participants, necessary documentation and their conformity to the present rules.

2.2.2. To supervise over carrying out of competitions according to rules on competitions, to take part in work of credentials committee. Performance of orders of the main is judge obligation for all participants, judges, and representatives of commands.

2.2.3. To check up and approve structures of pairs of participants on each circle of competitions.

2.2.4. To appoint judges responsible for weighing, to distribute judges on platforms so that there will be judges in each brigade, capable to carry out function of the referee.

2.2.5. To stop a fight for correction of the referee is mistakes

2.2.6. To make decisions under applications which have been presented from representatives (captains) in day of their submission. The decision by results of fight should be made prior to the beginning of fight of following circle.

2.2.7. To make the final decision in those cases, which are not stipulated by these given rules, and also in disputable situations. In command competitions the decision on the ended of fight

2.2.8. To hold session of the judiciary board before the beginning of competitions or after their termination for summarizing and statement of results of day. And also when it is necessary on a course of competitions.

2.2.9. To estimate work of each member of the judiciary board on the five-point system.

2.2.10. To hand over reports and protocol it's him own signature and signature of the secretary to the organization spending competition not later, than for three days after their termination.

3. The main judge has a right.

3.1. To transfer the beginning of competitions for the certain term if a place of carrying out, the equipment and stock will appear unsuitable for carrying out of competitions.

3.2. To stop competitions or to make a temporary break in case of adverse conditions or for any other reasons, stirring to normal carrying out of competitions we should be made up to the beginning of fights of next circle .

3.3. Under the agreement with the organization spending a competition to make changes to the program and schedule of competitions if there was an emergency.

3.4. To lead moving of judges during competition.

3.5. To discharge of work о judges, who are made gross blunders or who can't carry execution of duties assigned to them, Having informed about this to the a judiciary board.

3.6. Not to admit to competitions participants, who's technically unprepared, admitted roughness or made other offences.

3.7. In coordination with doctor to make a decision on removal from competitions the participant, who was traumatized.

3.8. To discharge of competitions the representative (trainer) of command admitted roughness and started an argument with judges.

3.9. To detain the announcement of results and make the final decision after additional discussion.

З.10. То change sequence of meetings in the final if there is a necessity. The note: Main judge has not right to cancel, conditions of carrying out of competitions established by the Position

4. Assistant of the main judge.

4.1. Assistant of the main judge together with the main judge supervises over competitions and bears the responsibility for their carrying out. If competitions are spent on two platforms and more, so duties of the main judge on each platform are carried out by his assistants.

4.2. Assistant of the main judge watches a suit and appearance of members of judicial brigades.

4.3. In his activity an assistant of the main judge is guided by rights and duties specified in item 2.2/b,c,d,e,f/3/d,g

5. Main secretary.

5.1. Main secretary makes reports of sessions of. the judiciary board, carries out A toss- up, makes the order of meetings on circles and schedules of competitions, makes out orders and decisions of the main judge, accepts applications, registers them and transfers to the main judge, prepares all judicial documentation, supervises overwork of secretary. From the sanction of the main judge gives data to the informant, representatives of

5.2. The main secretary is obliged to provide record in classification test books of sportsmen, data on results of competitions and commas with them places, and also delivery of information on the gained victories.

5.3. The main secretary represents to main judge of competitions necessary data for the final document.

6. Judge-referee.

6.1. A referee supervises over a course of a fight, defines technical actions and watches, that the fight passed in strict conformity with rules of competitions.

6.2. The referee before the beginning of a fight checks readiness of wrestlers for forthcoming fight and a condition of protective means. The fight begins and comes to the end on its command Wrestlers implicitly submit to commands of the referee.

6.3. The referee on a platform is obliged to stop a fight if one of wrestlers was traumatized after which he cannot continue a fight. The referee should stop a fight and declare the prevention to a fighter in case he applies methods or actions forbidden by the present rules, dangerous to life and health of the contender.

6.4. Coordinates all his decisions of the referee with the judiciary board.

6.5. The referee declares:

a) Beginning, termination of a fight and its stop command and journalists b) remarks, preventions and other disciplinary actions till to removal or in admission of a participant to a fight at infringement of competitions rules c) The decision of the judiciary board on results of a fight.

6.6. Referee makes a command "stop" and stops a fight in following cases:

a) A judge - time-measuring informs on the expiration of time of a fight by gong or other signal;

b) At infringement of rules of competition;

c) At carrying out of forbidden method or action;

d) When one or two wrestlers cannot continue a fight because of trauma or illnesses;

e) If one of wrestlers has fallen outside the limits of platform;

f) At the request of a fighter, made a signal by hand;

g) On demand of the main judge;

h) If the fight turns to a chaotic exchange of impacts or chaotic struggle;

I) For the report to the judiciary board about technical unpreparation of one or both wrestlers.

j) For call of wrestler when it is necessary.

k) If one of wrestlers is in critical situation (pain method and etc)

1) If one of wrestlers signals on refusal to continue a fight when a judge informant announces fight results, after that referee rises a hand by palm up upper a shoulder (at 45 degree) to the side of a winner .

6.7. If one of wrestlers gets a trauma, referee stops a fight and call a doctor for medical assistance. During the medical survey of a sportsmen or rendering a medical assistance referee should be near t a caused man. If a wrestler can not continue a fight after 3 minutes, referee stops a fight and announces winner in concordance with the colleague of judge (the main judge of competitions in concordance with a doctor make a decision about removal of participant, who got a trauma)

7. Lateral judges.

For refereeing a fight 3 lateral judges are appointed. They sit at little tables in 2-3 meters from corners of a platform. Judges should watch closely all actions of wrestlers, estimate them according to rules, fill judicial notes and define the winner. Referee and judges are obliged:

To behave impartially and fairly;

To make objective decisions according to actions of wrestlers;

To keep themselves with dignity and self-control;

Not to converse with extraneous persons during fights

Be always ready to explain motives of the decisions accepted by them.

8. Judge-timekeeper.

8.1. A judge-timekeeper should be at a judicial table of platform. He fixes the beginning and end of fight time of absence of sportsman for a platform after a call, time of break for traumas, eliminates lacks of a suit of participants and means of protection, rest of sportsmen between final fights (not less than 10 minutes) when time of a fight isfinished, he signal by gong or other sound signal

8.2. 30 seconds prior to the termination of a fight a judge-timekeeper submitsasignal by voice: "there are 30 seconds ".

8.3. Judge-timekeeper starts up and stops a stop watch onacommand of referee, informs to a)-secretary time of fight duration if it has finished ahead of schedule.

9. Judge at participants. A judge at participants:

a)In advance warns participants on at it to a platform for participation in a fight;

b) Before a fight checks a condition of suit, protective means of wrestlers and provides them with bandages for hands.

10. Appeal jury.

In special cases the appeal jury is appointed.

11. Judge-informant.

11.1. A judge-informant declares the program and order of carrying out of competitions, Represents structure of the judiciary board, explains separate positions of rules for Competitions, gives sports characteristics to participants, and declares result of each fight and structure of next pairs.

11.2. All information on a course of competitions is given from the sanction of the main judge or his deputy

12. Commandant of competitions.

A Commandant of competitions is responsible for duly preparation of a place for competitions Places for participants, judges and spectator, for decorating and radiofication of premises. Watches maintenance of the order during competitions, and also carries out all instructions of the main judge, his assistant and representative of the organization spending Competitions.

13. Doctor of competitions.

13.1. A doctor of competitions bears the responsibility for health services of competitions, doctor and medical personnel are, constantly in a hall of competitions,

13.2. doctor of competitions:

a) Checks presence in participant's applications of the doctor visa is about the admission of a sportsman to competitions;

b) Carries out medical supervision over participants during competitions;

c) Renders medical aid incase of trauma or diseases of participant;

d) Coordinates with the main judge a question on removal of participant from competitions and draws the written conclusion on the reason of such decision;

e) Watches observance of sanitary-and-hygienic requirements, accommodation and feed of participants;

f) Gives to the main judge the report on medico sanitary maintenance of competitions, on cases of diseases and traumas of participants with corresponding conclusions and offers


Rules of refereeing of competitions


1. The beginning of a fight.

1.1. Before the beginning of fight participants stand on lines of initial positions designated on the platform, referees stand on the judicial line, judges borrow the places at little tables.

1.2. Wrestlers before a fight welcome the referee by easy bow of a head, and each other - by hand shake.

1.3. Fight begins by a command "FIGHT" and stops by a command "STOP".

2. Quantity and duration of a fight.

2.1. Fight lasts 2rounds for 2 minutes.

2.2. In case of a drawn game a fight proceeds up to 1 impact,

2.3. Final and semifinal fights are spent 3 rounds for 2 minutes.

2.4. After time a fight stops irrespective of fighters opposition . Technical actions during between a signal on the termination of a fight and the referee command "STOP" are not set off, and infringements are set off.
